Data Security Posture Management (DSPM)
Find where sensitive data lives, reduce its exposure, and show an auditor a clear map of both.
For teams that know they hold customer data, cannot say where it all is, and are asked about both before the audit starts.

Exposure Mapped Before Controls Are Bought
Data security tools produce findings. We turn those findings into a short list of real exposures, in the order they should be fixed, with the evidence attached.
Find the Data First
Discovery covers cloud storage, databases, warehouses and SaaS at once, so the map includes the copies nobody remembered making.
- Continuous scanning as new data stores appear
- Copies in backups, exports and shares included
Classify by What Applies
Data is labelled by sensitivity, the regulation that governs it and the business owner who can act on it, so a label means something.
- Sensitive types matched to regulatory obligations
- Ownership assigned where nobody currently owns the data
Reachability, Not Inventory
The question that matters is who can reach what, over which path, and how much of that is intended, so exposure is traced from identity to data.
- Permission paths traced from user to dataset
- Public, shared and over-permissioned access ranked
Evidence While You Remediate
Control evidence is produced as the work happens, so the audit is a report you send rather than a project you start in the audit week.
- Findings tracked to closure with a named owner
- Control evidence mapped to GDPR, HIPAA and SOC 2
What DSPM Delivery Covers
The four areas we cover, from finding the data to proving what you did about it.
Data Discovery & Classification
Automated scanning across cloud storage, databases and SaaS, with classification by sensitivity, regulation and business owner.
Exposure & Access Mapping
Which sensitive data is reachable by whom, over which path, and which of those paths should not exist.
Encryption & Retention Review
Encryption at rest and in transit, retention against policy, and the orphaned copies nobody knows are still there.
Compliance & Evidence Mapping
Control evidence mapped to GDPR, HIPAA and SOC 2, produced continuously rather than assembled the week of the audit.
DSPM Services Include
Modular capabilities you can adopt as a full programme or phase in by finding that hurts most.
Data Discovery & Classification
Continuous scanning and labelling across cloud, SaaS and data platforms, by sensitivity, regulation and owner.
DiscoveryExposure Assessment
Public, shared and over-permissioned data ranked by what an attacker would do with it, not by alert count.
ExposureRemediation Planning
A prioritised plan with owners, effort and residual risk, sequenced so the cheapest fixes land first.
RemediationEncryption & Key Review
Encryption at rest and in transit verified per store, with key custody and rotation checked as part of it.
EncryptionRetention & Deletion
Retention measured against policy, with orphaned copies in backups, exports and shares brought back in line.
RetentionGDPR & Privacy Mapping
Records of processing, lawful basis and data-subject request paths evidenced for GDPR and HIPAA.
PrivacyAudit Evidence Pack
Continuous control evidence mapped to SOC 2, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS, produced as the work happens.
ComplianceWhat DSPM Engagements Commit To
The coverage and evidence we commit to producing, in writing, before we start.
In-scope stores, databases and SaaS scanned and catalogued
Sensitive data classified to a sensitivity and an owner
Exposures prioritised by impact, not by scanner severity
Control evidence produced continuously, not at audit time

Is This Service Right for You?
A quick check on whether a DSPM engagement makes sense right now.
A good fit if
- You hold personal or regulated data across several systems
- Nobody can say where all of that data is stored
- An audit is approaching and evidence is not ready
- Data is spread across cloud, SaaS and warehouses
The wrong start if
- You hold no personal or regulated customer data
- There is no compliance requirement to evidence
- You only need a one-off data inventory document
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers on scope, coverage and evidence. Cannot find yours? Ask our team directly.
Still have a question?
Ask an engineer, not a call centre. You get a straight answer within one business day.
Ask our teamNo. We can run discovery with our own scanning and connect to whichever platform you already use, and where a tool genuinely earns its cost we will tell you why. Many teams start with a fixed-scope assessment, prove the problem, and only then decide whether a standing platform is worth it.
We rank by what an attacker would actually do with the exposure, not by scanner severity, and we give you a short list your engineers can work. A finding only earns a place on it if we can name the data, the path to it and the impact, with everything else batched into a review rather than a backlog.
It supports them rather than discharging them. You get the data inventory, the lawful-basis and processing records, the access picture and the control evidence that a GDPR, HIPAA or SOC 2 assessment needs, and the remediation plan that makes the position defensible, but the legal determination stays with your counsel.
Scanning metadata and, where classification needs it, sampled content, under a data processing agreement we sign before onboarding. The maps and findings live in your tenancy, and where you need on-premises execution we bring scanners to you rather than moving the data to us.
Typically three to four weeks to a complete inventory, an exposure report and a prioritised remediation plan for an in-scope environment. Classification at the sensitivity and depth you need takes longer, and we scope that with you before committing to a date rather than guessing at it.
You keep the inventory, the exposure report, the remediation backlog and the evidence pack, along with the tooling and tags to keep rescanning. Many clients run a quarterly cycle with us, and others take it in-house once the backlog and the reporting rhythm are established.
